말라위의 작은 마을에 사는 농부 아니타 치타야는 기후변화에 맞서 마을을 지켜야 하는 거대한 도전에 직면한다. 미국인들에게 기후변화가 실제로 일어나고 있다고 설득하는 것이다. 말라위에서 출발해 미국의 백악관으로 가면서, 아니타는 자신의 능력과 경험을 활용해 이것이 우리 모두가 직면한 문제임을 설득한다. 10년에 거쳐 제작된 이 다큐멘터리는 우리 시대의 가장 시급한 주제인 기후변화, 성별과 인종 불평등 문제, 빈부격차를 논하면서 지구를 구하기 위한 전 세계 사람들의 생각을 함께 엮어 보여준다.

Anita Chitaya, to save her home from extreme weather, faces her greatest challenge: persuading Americans that climate change is real. She travels from Malawi to the White House, and it will take all her skill and experience to persuade us that we’re all in this together. This documentary, ten years in the making, weaves together the most urgent themes of our times: climate change, gender and racial inequality, the gaps between the rich and the poor, and the ideas that groups around the world have generated in order to save the planet.
